3/17/14- Warrington, PA  - Warrington-Warwick Girls Basketball (WWGB) announces the dates and times of the open AAU Tryouts:

WWGB AAU Open Tryouts
  • 3rd Grade - Thursday, 3/20 6:30-8:00 @ Mill Creek Elementary School
  • 4th Grade - Tuesday, 3/18 6:30-8:00 @ Jamison Elementary School
  • 5th/6th - Grade Thursday, 3/20 8:00-9:30 @ MillCreek Elementary School
  • 7th Grade - Tuesday, 3/18 8:00-9:30 @ Mill Creek Elementary School
  • 8th Grade - Monday, 3/17 7:30-9:15 @ Holicong Middle School

Our program starts a little later than most and our basic philosophy is to keep a ball in the girls' hands throughout the spring and, at the same time, keep the costs reasonable. Depending on the turnout and the available coaches, there may be one or more teams at each grade level or some grade levels may be combined.

The tournaments we participate in are, for the most part, local - we do not strive to go to Nationals. Each individual team may play in as few or as many tournaments as the team and/or coach desire. We understand that this concept may not interest all but welcome those who feel it may be a good fit for them.

Focus on Instruction
After team selection, there are typically 1-2 practices each week - again depending on the coach and team. Practices will be held in the Central Bucks School district school gyms.  In the past we have also been able to offer a clinic/skills night in addition to practice. We are hoping to do the same this season.

The cost of the WWGB AAU program is based solely on uniform cost, gym time, AAU registration fees and tournament costs.  There is a $35 player fee for gym time, and all other fees are determined by the number of tournaments that team choses to play.  Once the team and the coach decide on the tournaments the team will enter, the total costs will be finalized.

Our AAU season usually runs from the beginning of April through the end of June. Please continue to check our WWW Site for additional information and ongoing tryout dates. Please contact our AAU Director, John Calderaio at John Calderaio with any questions.
